CAKE are a Sacramento alternative-rock band whose deadpan vocals, trumpet, dry guitar and genre-blurring arrangements have given them one of the most distinctive sounds in 1990s and 2000s alternative music. Their catalog includes The Distance, Never There and Short Skirt/Long Jacket. CAKE first played Shaky in 2018. Confirmed March 2027 Australian dates prove continued activity, and the long gap makes them a particularly interesting legacy return candidate even though no U.S. 2027 route is yet verified.
