Artist Bio

The Cure are an English rock band formed in Crawley in 1976 and led throughout their career by singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Robert Smith. Their music helped define the post-punk, gothic rock and alternative-rock vocabulary of the late 1970s and 1980s, while albums such as Seventeen Seconds, Faith, Pornography, The Head on the Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me and Disintegration established a catalog that moves between stark atmosphere, romantic pop and expansive guitar music. After a 16-year studio-album gap, The Cure returned in November 2024 with Songs of a Lost World, which reached No. 1 in more than 30 countries. The band recorded another 13 songs at Rockfield Studios in March 2025 for a follow-up project and remained highly active in 2026 with a major European festival summer and archival/live releases. The Cure's 2026 lineup is Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper, Roger O'Donnell and Reeves Gabrels.
